engine loom to body loom plugs ae101

Postby soopachargen » Tue Jan 05, 2010 8:57 pm

i've been wiring my blacktop ecu into my ae101 and was just curious about what the wires in the two long black and grey plugs in front of the ECU where the engine loom joins the body loomare and if there is a diagram showing what they are for?
When in doubt, down and out.

They are for everything and I have never seen a diagram as they are different on different spec vehicles.

Auto and manual, GZE 20V and FE, so there's 6 different configuratuions.

I know that an AE101 GZE loom will not plug into a 20V body loom for starters as I struck that.

main difference is the GZE runs a two speed fuel pump which is not there in the 20V and those wire are in those plugs.

Also has Temp gauge, oil gauge/light, a/c wiring, lots of earths, some go to the diagnostic plug etc etc.

does the polarity matter on the valve or whatever it is on the powersteer rack matt?

I am not 100% sure as I have not had much to do with that particular part,

but my best educated guess would say 90% chance that polarity does not matter if it is only two wires.
