turbo converstion, dizzzy?

Postby 79rolla » Thu Jan 07, 2010 8:53 am

heya, im doing a turbo converstion on my 2tgeu

question is what do i do with the dizzy timing? mostly the vacume advance? because if its set up normaly it will retard itself the moment it goes on boost, and if i hook it up befour the turbo it will continue to advance itself after throttle body is closed (from bov bypass) so whats the comon thing to do here??

do i just need a new diaphram that works with boost? or do i throw it away and get some coilpacks

its most likely going to be running a megasquirt ecu at this stage aswll

cheres for any helpful info
Current:KE30 my baby,ke35 (now going to get the 2t treatment),isuzu spacecab ute

if its going to run a megasquirt or any aftermarket ecu. you just need to ditch the vac advance. and any kind of mechanical advance. use the ecu to control timing. so yes probably easyest to run wasted spark or coil per plug.
