Indicators and WOFS

Postby thornz » Fri Jan 15, 2010 6:21 pm

Do all indicators need to be operating to get a WOF?
Have just noticed one of my indicators on the right hand side isnt working. Its the one on the side of teh car, not the front or rear bumper if it makes any difference?

Dont know if reverse lights do? Must check VIRM, have passed wofs with reverse lights out several times.

Thought as much. Just remember that one time when I went for WOF, one light was out and I was told it wasn't an issue because the other ones were working, cant remember which one it was though. :?

yeah reverse lamps don't need to work for wof
which imo is dumb. how often when driving through a car park do you look at reverse lamps to check what they are up to?

theyre not on a wof checklist but i have repaired reverse lamps for a customer that failed a wof because the inspector called the aux lamps

supposed to be making it a point to fail a wof on soon tho, so im told.

if one reverse light works, they both have to work, but if they both don't go that's ok.

All other lights (indicators, park, daytime running etc) have to go if they are there.
