G2 doesn't need to be wired its just the same signal as g1 but at a different crank position

G- needs to be grounded,
Both below wires are ground and best used for g-
trig 1 cable brown wire
or
trig 2 cable green wire

So ur saying trig1 should be a brown wire and trig 2 a green wire?
What are they on the ecu pinout?
I grounded g2 and g-.
Im now getting rpms when cranking but still no spark from the coil.

Are the two trig wires i mentioned that i wired up earlier incorrect?

when looking at that picture it looks like i have to make trigger 1 my black wire and trigger 2 my green wire. Am i right? Cause when i look at my dizzy plug the colours from top to bottom are.

Black
Red
Green
White

the two trig wires are right I think, the two wires I said above are grounded so you can wire one of them to G- (ground through ecu)

Don't ground g2 (it shouldnt matter though)

Hows your igniter wired.....

Ive hooked the igniter up like so:
IGT= yellow/green wire hooked up to ign1 to the link which is a blue wire.
Correct?

and according to my nots i got black as trig 1, red as trig 2 and G- and G2 grounded.

could alwas try swapping trig 1 for 2 and vise versa like cogent suggested.

I drove my car into the garage working perfectly then removed the motor. I dont see how the coil or igniter would be busted or even the dizzy as they were all working perfectly when engine was removed.

Ill give the swapping the triggers around a go tomorrow and see what happens.

1:I swapped the two triggers around and no spark
2: i made the green wire trig two and the black wire trig one like shown in the pic matt dunn posted (what does n/c mean though) earthed the white and left the red, still no spark.

is the tirgger wiring shielded and is that shielding grounded?

have you checked to see if the link ecu is putting out a trigger signal to the igniter?

Sheilded? I just wired the IGT= yellow/green wire hooked up to ign1 to the link which is a blue wire. No grounding or anything els just connected the two wires.
How do i check if the link is sending the igniter a signal? Step by step info would be awesome same with the sheilding too please.

Unplug the ecu and put it in the back seat.

Get a decent multi meter and test resistance from

Trigger 1 to ground,

and Trigger 2 to ground.

they should both read the same resistance,
and off the top of my head 200 to 400 Ohms?
as long as they are the same anyway.

If they are different it is wired wrong.

Next test AC voltage on the same while cranking the engine over,
( with no ecu

Trigger 1 to ground,

and Trigger 2 to ground.

Trigger 1 AC voltage should be a lot higher than Trigger 2 voltage.

If they are the same you have the two sync signals but no crank signal,
if trigger two is higher than trigger 1, then the two triggers are reversed.

Test and report back.

That sort of step by step testing and fault finding is what im after. Ill do the test after work tomorrow and let u know.

Im testing with the multimeter at the link plug end right?
