Fitted aftermarket seats to GTT?? Jamex Seats

Postby dakine » Fri Jan 08, 2010 7:39 pm

Hey

Has anyone brought some of those cheap jamex seats off trademe? they say they use universal fitment but I want to hear from people who have fitted any kind of aftermarket seat into a GTT and any issues they had etc...

Thanks in advanced,
Mark

i fitted two of these to my old gtt. the problem i found was there was no brackets that could be bolted in that would fit the jamex rails and its heaps of work to get the factory rails welded on.
i got some brackets custom made but they made the seats sit high as so my head was touching the roof.
id recomend getting some custom brackets made up but get them set as low as possible or ull run into the same problem

good luck man, if you manage to get them in nicely please let me know as ive got another gtt know im wanting to put new seats in.

cheers

i fitted some kw seats into mine make your own custom rails and make sure you make them as low as possible or else your head will be touching the roof my rails have only a few mm clearance and id say they are probably sitting lower than factory seats then you also need to make some mounting points for your seatbelts you cant run any other seatbelts that i am aware of as they have plugs on them which hook into your airbags etc.

You need a cert because you have airbags also.
