Brendon runs the older one.

Bruce Cullimore runs the G4 on his integra 410kw atw. Said its a good ecu, not top of the line but def does all you need it to do.

ok, according to link the base map may be ok for a startup but will need some configuration.

Most base maps from reputable companies are like that. I dunno that I'd drive to the dyno on a generic base map though. If the timings out it could overheat and stress the engine - or too rich and you'll bore wash etc etc.

I think they're really just designed just to get the engine running ready for the dyno - rather than driven there....??

Hey bro, off topic - but any luck with that video of hampton downs?

If you buy a brand new Link there is no base map.

they all come with some numbers programmed in them,
but I would not call it a base map,
and they are all shipped the same so the one you get for a 20V has the same numbers as the one you get for a 7L supercharged V8.

It will also need configuring as you have to program each pin as to what you have connected to it, Injectors, number of coils, which one is FP drive etc etc.

yeah i have been talking to them today. I have someone who can wire and configure it, but i would really like to have some sort of tune in it to save $$ on the dyno, the car already has had around 2ks worth of dyno time

it is possible to copy an paste the numbers from g3 fuel and ignition maps onto the g4. long as all the load points and rpm points are set the same. i have a couple of 16v 4agte g3 tunes you could do this with. or i can copy the g3 maps into into a g4 file if your unsure. you'd still need to configure the rest , plus play with the master fuel to suit your injector size. but it should save you a bit of dyno time. as at least the cruise part of the map will be fairly close once master is set right

I will be getting the G4 storm for my wagon (20v 4agte). The advantage i have here with speedtech is that justins (gasman) tune is on file and apart from the turbo we are running the same engine etc ;)

LEM V3 and LEM G3
are about as similar as a Chev(rolet) and a Chev(ette)

no similarity at all,
no compatable programs and dont run the same version of PC link,

And LEM V3 is about 10+ years old,

ok. they arent the same but they are.

if you had the map from the g3 open on one window and entered it manually to the g4 window on pc link you could create a map as such.

can borrow mine if ya like nick, for 9.1:1 compression. but apart from that i think your running similar to what i am, justmight need to adjust the master fuel like kris mentioned.

PM me if you want.
