Squeak - Clutch Release Fork Caldina GTT

Postby Lac » Fri Feb 12, 2010 1:48 pm

Hey everyone,
Another New member from Aus. Awesome site and heaps of info. Love the Toyo DIY.

Hoping you can help me here with a few things, done all the searching also.

In the last week i have started to get a really loud squeak when the clutch in pressed in and out - The clutch was replaced 1 year or and is ok.
After doing a little research its the Fork sub assembly - Clutch release with the black rubber boot on it that moves in and out.( right under the turbo in the engine bay). Any idea why this is doing this and how it can be fixed?

BTW - It was pissing down with rain in the last week, would water get in the boot and cause the loud squeak?

Cheers!

If it needs lube on the fork's pivots & contacts with the pushrod & bell housing & release bearing, they did a bad job & should be responsible even at 1 year. If it's from the pressure plate, you'll have to live with it or replace it. I think no one will warranty a squeak from it after one year.
