gx100 1g-fe to 1jz swap?

Postby MR2BOY23 » Fri Feb 12, 2010 10:40 pm

Was just wondering how hard it would be to swap out a factory manual mark 2 (gx100) with a 1g-fe to a 1jzge. Would the engine mounts and bellhousings match?

Asking on behalf of a mate

Thanks guys :D

Beautiful...

For the money you'd spend on buying the JZ, appropriate bellhousing for the W box and all that you'd be better off getting Ewan at Hayatonka to find and send over a genuine JZX.

lets set the record straight.

that cars chassis code would be a GX100, the engine is a 1GFE.......

Great taxi car on its own, without need of molesting it.
You are far better off getting genuine JZX100, in terms of money, time, and resale value.

simple answer is no

hard answer is yes if you can get your hands on a jzx100 X member than your life will be 1 millon times easyier
abs systems are different between both chassis
brakes are different and poverty spec as compared to the tourer S and V chassis
and getting the dash to talk to everything is another hassle

why the f*ck would you want to swap a 1jzge ( vvti i hope ) into one? may as well go the whole hog and go the 1jzgte vvti
