Hi,

Im Michael, I drive an 1986 red fx-gt, its got a blown head gaskit at the moment but hopefully sorting that out soonish.

I go to uni in chch, studying philosophy and politics, but come home to wellington each holidays!

Looking foward to getting to meet some of you guys once the car is back up and running. (might try and post a picture later on.)

Does anyone know a good place in wellington to get 4age's?

wow, so clean and shiny.

Assuming the engine wasn't driven long with blown head gasket should be fixable. Maybe keep an eye out at Pick-a-Part as bluetops 4AGEs turn up there occasionally.
Check the radiator/water system before running the fixed/replaced engine, otherwise it might blow again.

hey man nice car, if your looking for a new engine, you might get lucky on here

in terms of wreckers in wellington there is head auto wreckers on wakefield street in petone but I find them pretty steep on pricing a bit dodgy also haha.

i'd suggest trying totally toyota auto spares in new plymouth, fairly reasonably priced and its only about $50 to get an engine shipped from there to here.

Gidday me again (I reset my password to an email address that I no longer have - DOH!)

Big red is now in hibernation, and I just scored a sweet deal on another ae82 with a small port red top currently building it up, its going to be sick!

That is my old car! SR Coupe brought it off me! That was my first car and it was awesome. Am thinking of getting in the market for another one actually.

I put those rims on it when I had it. i was given them for free so thought why not. Just a word of warning, the tires that fit them are a really odd size and are bloody expensive. They were around $250 each at the time and they were the only new ones they could find in wellington.

Man i want it back!
