That alloy part,
I'd call it a sump, well 1 part of a 2 piece sump.

7AFE two piece sumps? I'll buy one of you have it.

umm i am sure they sorta won't but i can "make" it fit, but i am worried as you mentioned it helps support the head, where as the 4afe one only has the three bolts to the engine.

also that alloy casting thing at the bottom also seems to cover the flywheel as the metal plate between the gearbox and engine has a hole in it and i can see the flywheel D:

do you have an automatic? that lower section is probably unboltable so you can get at the torque converter bolts and you may be missing the lower steel plate.

you only need to 'support' the block. the head bolts down pretty hard to the block so the head doesn't need support. any braces around the mounts are likely to support the mount itself so it doesn't break

does your sump step in on the intake side.. under about where the starter motor sits? if yes then this block uses the alloy gearbox brace. i have one spare which came from a BT 20v. has 4afe cast into it. $10

looks like you have an auto backing plate.. due to the hole in the center which is for undoing the torque converter bolts. does all the gearbox bolts match up to the backing plate holes?
