I recently brought a 92 Windom 3.0g, everything on it is fine and it's in very good nic (140k's)
I just had the transmission serviced and the guy said the box was pretty good and gave it a good going over.
The only issue it has is a leak on the rocker cover seal, not important but something I intend to fix.
Anyways to the real problem, in the mornings, I turn her on, back her out and drive up the road to an intersection. During this startup she is running fine but when you accelerate its very very heavy and slow, even with the pedal down to the floor it just won't go for it.
Now it is a heavy car and I don't want to trash it, but its almost dangerous getting across the main road to join traffic.
Once it gets over 45k ish it goes for it normally, but very unresponsive under that speed, after 7-10 mins it starts to behave normally.
I noticed this is happening after work too, car sitting in sun for 8ish hours, but responds a bit faster.
On searching these forums and some others, a lot of people have mentioned this issue, and one forum (I think here) mentions to check the pipe between the AFM and the Throttle.
I did this today and found that the throttle side of the pipe which has the metal tightener was loose, and I think the pressure may be getting out of here causing the drag feeling.
I have bolted it up tight and will test tomorrow morning and see how I go.
If not, what else could I have a tinker with before getting someone to have a real good look at it.
Diagnostics scanner picks up no engine codes.
I have done a lot of searching and cannot find a solution, thanks guys
