Well as it's Bridgestone's last Year in F1 I don't think they'll be making any extras availble. Besides which what's the point in developing a car for the current Bridgestone tyres when the new tyre is likely to be radically different. Look at the problems teams had when switching between Bridgeston and Michelin.

So who reckons they can pick the championship winner? This season really has me stumped at the moment, really cant work out who the championship contenders are going to be. Should be a interesting season thats for sure!

Heres teh TAB odds

1 $4.00 Lewis Hamilton
2 $3.80 Fernando Alonso
3 $5.00 Michael Schumacher
4 $7.00 Sebastian Vettel
5 $8.00 Felipe Massa
6 $10.00 Jenson Button
7 $15.00 Nico Rosberg
8 $12.00 Mark Webber
9 $33.00 Robert Kubica
10 $60.00 Rubens Barichello
11 $80.00 Nico Hukenberg
12 $100.00 Vitaly Petrov
13 $100.00 Adrian Sutil
14 $100.00 Jarno Trulli
15 $100.00 Bruno Senna
16 $100.00 Timo Glock
17 $150.00 Vitantonio Liuzzi
18 $150.00 Heikki Kovalainen
19 $200.00 Lucas Di Grassi
20 $200.00 Sebastian Buemi
21 $200.00 Jaime Alguersuari
22 $250.00 Jose Maria Lopez

I think out of those if I was having a punt, Vettell would probably be my pick.

Where's Kobayashi?? :?
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.

Sebastian Vettal looks like a good bet at $7.

Lewis should win handsomely this year. It's going to be one hell of a season, there's a vast gap between the peak and the base of the pyramid this year - more teams, new regulations. The one thing I don't like is the removal of the refueling - that was half the fun watching that (because it's not like the racing was that much fun over the last 5 years, minus 2009).

There will be a few spanners in the works - MS can take a real dog and work miracles so I expect him to be up there, but I can't see him winning. Massa and Alonso are sold bets for sure, Button I suspect will be a one-hit-wonder, and I can't see Webber or Vettal taking the honors - dunno why, I just can't back them over Hamilton.

So yeah, if I had a fiver spare I'd throw it at Lewis.

Vettel will be very strong this year, he has now got the require grounding, this years Redbull is not a totally new car more of an imporvement over the previous model so with reliablty he will be there

I think Mclaren will have the best car at the start of the season, but its going to be 2007 all over again, Mercedes will have the quickest devlopment with MS giving feedback

I would not bet against Vettal.

And I do not think Mclaren will have issues to the same degree that Justin thinks they will. :P

Personally and its not because I'm a Ferrari fan but they have been developing this car for awhile now I think the RED team will be back with avengence this year. With Alonso and Massa I feel these guys are going to be round and about as long as Ferrari can remain consistent they'll be there.

I also think this is the most wide open F-1 has been in along time.I like Ferrari though but I went down to the TAB and put $20 on Vettel to go all the way.

They are back in the midfield after practice 2, so perhaps a bit of low fuel show boating by them??

Rosberg is lookig pretty good at the moment, beats Schuey comfortably in both sessions. Lotus, Virgin, and HRT are looking like embarrasments, cant see all three teams finishing the season, dont think Chandhok has turned a lap in the second HRT as well. Really think they are gonna need to bring back the 107% rules, otherwise there really is gonna be some mobile chicanes on the circuit.

Practice 2 times:

Times
1. Rosberg Mercedes 1:55.409 23 laps
2. Hamilton McLaren-Mercedes 1:55.854 + 0.445 22 laps
3. Schumacher Mercedes 1:55.903 + 0.494 23 laps
4. Button McLaren-Mercedes 1:56.076 + 0.667 28 laps
5. Vettel Red Bull-Renault 1:56.459 + 1.050 18 laps
6. Hulkenberg Williams-Cosworth 1:56.501 + 1.092 26 laps
7. Massa Ferrari 1:56.555 + 1.146 30 laps
8. Petrov Renault 1:56.750 + 1.341 26 laps
9. Alonso Ferrari 1:57.140 + 1.731 25 laps
10. de la Rosa Sauber-Ferrari 1:57.255 + 1.846 24 laps
11. Kobayashi Sauber-Ferrari 1:57.352 + 1.943 27 laps
12. Sutil Force India-Mercedes 1:57.361 + 1.952 29 laps
13. Barrichello Williams-Cosworth 1:57.452 + 2.043 21 laps
14. Liuzzi Force India-Mercedes 1:57.833 + 2.424 29 laps
15. Kubica Renault 1:58.155 + 2.746 29 laps
16. Alguersuari Toro Rosso-Ferrari 1:59.799 + 4.390 31 laps
17. Webber Red Bull-Renault 2:00.444 + 5.035 12 laps
18. Kovalainen Lotus-Cosworth 2:00.873 + 5.464 23 laps
19. Trulli Lotus-Cosworth 2:00.990 + 5.581 14 laps
20. Glock Virgin-Cosworth 2:02.037 + 6.628 3 laps
21. di Grassi Virgin-Cosworth 2:02.188 + 6.779 21 laps
22. Senna HRT-Cosworth 2:06.968 + 11.559 17 laps

Going to be hard for Chandhok to score points by the end of the seaons if he can't even make it on to the track!

Thornz - It makes it interesting! Despite the top teams throwing hissy fits by always having to pass the slower, less skilled, less funded back markers, there's nothing wrong with them being there! If they were all within 1 second of each other we'd have another season of processions - no one wants that!

One of the ITV commentators said, and I agree: These are the best drivers in the world (sic) - what's wrong with them overtaking the slower drivers!

And if that means someone looses a spot and finishes second (or third, fourth, etc) then great - more action!

The best race drivers? or the best lap time drivers?

If they have a ban on testing. And a 107% rule. And the new teams struggle to get that target. How on earth are they meant to get the track time to improve?
They would have to have a clause allowing more testing if you fail to make 107%
Otherwise those teams will struggle to develop and improve. Which means they will be out of F1 within the year.

I have no problem with the new teams, would love to have seen more in this year, however, 11 seconds off the pace is taking the piss just a bit to much IMO.
