Yeah it definitely is if they stay there.
That is afterall the pretty much the first time that car has moved under it's own power.
One would hope that by the next race they have found a second or 10.....

Was interesting qually, it seemed alot of the cars in P3 didnt do a full on attack lap, seemed more interested in saving the tyres for the race tomorrow. Will be interesting to see how it all pans out.

Pitting strategies will be interesting.

While there will be a benefit from new tyres, track position will be compromised if they pit early, at least for the first stop. I would expect to see the leading drivers waiting as long as they can before the first stop, or at least till they have one pitstops advantage over the midfield cars, I doubt that anyone who pits and comes out lower than 10th will have a good race.

Was an intresting Quaily

Rosberg has defantly taken it to Schui, Not much between Hamilton and Button either, the cheat duct didn't seem to help the Mclaren that much either

I think if Vettel can keep his head he got a great shot at a win, but Massa and Teflonso will be close

I think you might find that marvellous piece of engineering won't give that much in qualifying, but it will help in gaining momentum on the straights for that late pass under brakes ;)

It could be easily mistakable for a device designed to cool off the drivers balls.

Had anbody found a good technical article on this duct/wing? I don't really understand at the moment how it works exactly.

simply seems to be an wee intake in the nose cone that funnels air along the cockpit tunnel to an exit that flows over the rear wing.
in the cockpit it seems there is a hole the drivers can block with thier knee that blocks off that flow which alters the way the air flows over the rear wing.
Doing that loses them what would seem to be a decent amount of downforce. downforce = drag. so it gives them a top speed advantage.
Cunning. And 100% legal.
And I would guess harder to introduce mid season than a new diffuser.

Yep Im not sure how teams that are over 5 seconds a lap can justify themselves as being serious at the top level of motorsport.But if there going to allow it I suppose its all good.I seriously don't see the point there is just no way they can be competitive by the end of this year or if ever.

I think this was mentioined earlier but they must be just taking the mickey and to be fair there has to be some sought of standards kept or next thing you no any man and his dog will able to enter F-1.

Bit of an average race imo. Definitely was a case of the cars limping to the finish rather than being pushed hard. Feel sorry for Vettel, definitely had it over the rest of the field.

Was not expecting a ferrari 1, 2!
But by the sounds of it Vettal was in until it broke.... And once again peeing all over Webber.
Unfortunately it seems what we all feared has come true, no refueling = no racing :cry:

Yawn...Looks like F1 racing this year is going to better for insomniacs than sleeping pills :cry:

With there being little advantage in new tyres, well not enough to allow for a pitstop at least, everyone is pitting at the same time as there's not a chance to put in some hot laps on low fuel to get ahead. Unless there is some circuit where tyre wear is an issue I don't think we'll be seeing more than one stop per race from the top runners :roll:

Bring back refuelling!!!

Back in the old days, there wasn't none of this "Pressurized vacuum feedback auto shutoff fueling rig" business.
It was done by my with gas cans, pouring into the tank until it was full! And they had to walk 15 miles in the snow just to get to the track with that fuel! Then, because it was so cold, they had to warm it up with an open flame!

I mean, a 1.5 litre V16?!?! That produces 410kw?!?!? Crazy!
