Just had some showers here in Whenuapai.
I rang the 0800 hotline and it had a recorded message saying the next round was on tonight, but nothing about weather updates or anything.

I'll probably head down anyway.

Just got back form Meremere. $hit night for racing. Only did 3 qualifying runs and they called off the racing due to weather.

I did a 14.821 @158.89km/h first run, with a reaction time of -0.014 (damn it!). So that was a new PB for me.

Until.....................................

run two, 14.616 @ 158.83km/h.
The finally run three, 14.476 @ 160.97km/h, Nice :D

My "hot air" intake is certainly not helping things, so that'll hopefully get changed for next time.

Good to see some of you guys there, Matt with the Chaser dudes and GTTpower.
Here's hoping next time will be better and get some actual racing done and maybe lower times.

bummer about the weather, my best time last night was a 14.351 @ 162km/h. i definately need to sort my launches out, i think a getting into the 13s is very possible.

the dude in the jzx90 apparently blew his torsen, when i spoke to him he believed it was due to his clutch being too aggressive, brass button/4000lb or something

Yeah I'd believe that. Shock loading your driveline is never a good thing.

The Chaser looks pretty sweet too dude. Chuck some drag radials on it and it'll go way faster too 8).
I was hoping the Aristo and Chaser could line up together, but was too hard to get done. Maybe next time.

RH9 needs to bring his Aristo next time too.

Cheers J.
All I was expecting out out it was another 14.9 or maybe 14.8.
I was stoked when I got the 14.6, then very surprised to see the 14.4.
The good thing about not racing that night was I had no idea what to dial in, as the car just seemed to get faster and faster. I need more seat time to get really consistent.

Hmmm, 13s would be really nice. I should put my boost controller in and do a few tweaks before next time to see how much more I can get out of her.

The cold weather that night was certainly helping the car along too. So fingers crossed for cold next time, but not the rain!
