Also, other than in some strange cases (eg Lotus 7 type cars) you can only legally have a cage in a competition car anyway (there's some exceptions, but if you want a one line reply that's enough information).

Hmm never really thought about this but what if I wanted to put a roll cage in my Landcruiser which wouldn't take part in any motorsport (very successfully anyway lol)?
