SW20 3S-GTE & running gear in the back. You would need to lose your rear seats, but rear seats in a 111 are useless anyways.

Seen this done in a 101 series somewhere before.

Food for thought..

*EDIT* for your 15K plus your Levin, you would be pretty close to buying a factory fast / flash / new car. Think: Keywords: RX7, RX8, Turbo R34, close to 350Z territory, Turbo Altezza, maybe a turbo JZA80, JZX100.....

Is it worth sinking 15k into a levin? I mean really? After spending almost that much on my RX7's engine package (just the engine, ecu, fuel system & turbo) I've realised that its close to being a deposit on a house. Would pay to think awhile before splashing out this much on a 111.

He will not achieve quality/relability/drivability with 15k and rwd conversion.
he will need to spend 2x or even 3x if he is not prepared to do 90% of the work himself.

Spending 15k on levin can make it really nice, but! it will remain FWD, it will have a 4/7AGE and most of the money would be spent on suspension (and part on the engine to bring it up to ITR level). But then again for 15k+cost of the levin you can get already nice ITR to start with.

If you spend 15k to make it RWD, it will drive like dog, break all the time, and handle like shit on a stick.

What I would suggest, if you have 15k+levin, burning your pockets, is go around car yards, and drive various vehicles mentioned above, and think about the level you have to surpass.
Also remember the vehicles listed above (like 350Z, ITR etc) are most likely be stock and very reliable compare to what you will end up with. They will have advantage of comfort and drive-ability as well.

I think it would be a great “project”.

But you need to work out why you are doing it, if it’s for the experience of having done it then go for it. It would be an awesome personal achievement.

If it is because you want goliath slayer of a car then it might be worth rethinking it as while anything is possible with lots of money there will always be something faster. A FWD turbo Levin 4age will be much lighter and probably handle much better.

I have a mate who has NZ new gsr coupe, (think mirage asti) he has spent tens of thousands on it (no exaggeration). It has a 1800 mivec headed supercharged motor with custom gearbox, diff etc and is FWD. He just wanted to be different and it is, and it is undeniably fast for what it is. BUT it is not worth much more than a standard one to the average person. Has little traction in wet and has other issues given its making way more power than factory and gets shown a clean pair of heels by lightly modded evos.

For $15k plus your Levin you could have an Evo 7, strip it to lose some weight, flash the ecu, do the exhaust, air filter, and fuel pump, stick in some mintex race pads, plus quality lowered springs, do the sway bars and bushes and you will have an excellent very fast 4 door car.
