Found this on trade me.

I was just browsing on trade me and i found this.

http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motor ... 179941.htm
Just wondering if it would work.

I think the idea is plausible but this particular product might not.
Dyno graphs and stuff to back up their proof.
Up to 15 hp they reckon.

What do you guys think?

im shocked by the amount of people that keep bidding on these peices of junk.

i guess there seems to be an unlimited number of idiots out there.

can a cheap ass turbine peice of junk, that gets its power using tiny little wires do any thing except act as an obstruction?

i just assume two things happen once people have brought them, 1 they are to ashamed to ask for a refund after they realise how stupid they are 2. they think they have a little more power after removing their factory air box and installing a pod filter (with a junk turbine obstruction thing as well).

It would only act as a restriction, there is no way it could flow enough air.

The only electric superchargers that work are the big blowers with huge motors on them requiring a boot load of batteries and big alternators to drive them.
And they can only be used for short bursts.

Just think how much power it takes to drive a blower on a 4agze for example.
This thing draws less than 60A at 14V which is less than 840W or .84kW of power!!

I'm also disturbed by the amount of people buying them and giving good feedback.

Maybe its the fact that it the restriction it produces is reduced when its powered up giving the effect of a power boost :?

all these 'too good to be true' things...

if they really worked, you have to ask yourself - wouldnt we see this kind of thing as a factory component?

Not the same "supercharger" but an interesting article to read BEFORE buying one!

Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.
