PCV Valve idea's

Postby cat007 » Tue Apr 06, 2010 6:16 pm

Hey all

One of the items needing attention in my Supra is the PCV setup.

I was using a one way valve off a Pajero I think, but it was 2nd hand and isn't sealing properly so I want a new one (plus it was a little small).

Any suggestions where to get a decent flowing one way valve that wont be affected by oil/fuel etc?

Cheers

PCV valve is not one way valve.

The purpose of the PCV valve is to regulate flow of blow-by and prevent from inlet "backfires" to pressurise the crank case (and blow out seals).

Might be best to get one from a turbo's car like an evo or something I doubt the Paj one will be loving the boost.
current cars:
Evo 4 230Kw atw
1971 mini.

Evo powered mx5 under construction

I wouldve thought a backfire in the intake manifold would have the valve see more pressure than what my turbo can pump out...
