I got most of the way to doing this. used ae111 non SS hubs and ground a small lip off the caliper brackets to get it to bolt up. I just needed to get longer brake lines made up and find some rotors and would have been done.
"You can't do it like that!." "Why not?"

Pretty sure I saw gasman mention using ST206 Curren caliper brackets with the twin pot part off a AE101/AE111 so that you could run the 275mm disc.

i initially was going to run the ae101 ss ones and just round the bit off the carrier thingy like in that guide above but found the one of the sliders was seized after i fitted them so went to pick a part and found the st206 curren ones and they bolted up fine and also allowed me to keep the ss disc at 273mm.

then i happen to come across some twinpots off the st202 celica ones at pick a part and they also fit up and allow me to keep the 273mm ss disc. overall tho the st206 ones have a litttle more piston area so will have a bit more force.

when i ran the twinpots off the celica on the track i found that it only really worked hard around the centre of the disc jusding by the heat marks so running the larger curren caliper should spread the force over the disc a bit more evenly i reckon.
"What can possibly go wrong?"

I am using GTT caldina twin pots on my ae100 corolla wagon. Im running 272mm discs also but i had to space the discs out 3mm for everything to clear properly

could someone clarify what is used here... some sort of caliper bracket that fits twin pots to the ae uprights? or the calipers themselves or was it the st206 uprights.
cheers

The st203, 205, 206, st215 etc etc calipers bolt straight up to the standard brake caliper mounts on AE series hubs

So you bolt on the St2## calipers with 3mm spacers and they fit perfect?

I have 3mm disc spacers yes and the st215 calipers bolt straight up. I sat at Head Auto Wreckers for an hour fitting all sorts of calipers to my hubs to see what fit ;)

ah so twinpot (single side) st2## caliper fit on ae strut (non s/s) to fit s/s 275x25mm disk. sounds overly generalised to cover all caliper/disk combinations. is it only the twinpots that have an original 275x25mm dia disk that fit? or from any particular disk size on the original st20# car?
doubt these pickapart st205 calipers will fit my ae82. um.. originally 315x32mm disk ish?? heh

gotta remember that the st seies cars are 5 stud...not 4 like our corollas.

Gleem : You will need to grind down a small portion of your carrier so it clears the ae hub. You will also need to machine down your rotors.

EDIT: ae111 series hubs may be different from the ae101 etc so fitting may be sweet ... dont quote me though
