Are these MR-S wheels? (Link)

Postby Kittah » Sun Apr 25, 2010 3:04 pm

Hey guys,

Shopping around for some wheels and came across these on TradeMe. They look like factory MR-S wheels, but the seller suggests they're not, or suggests they are but has a different idea about their measurements... I always thought they were 15" staggered, 6" front and 6.5" rears.

Anyone kind enough to clarify? Cheers :)

I thought they first versions were 15"x6" front and 15"x6.5" rear, then from 2003 they came out with 15"x6" fronts and 16"x7" rears.

I'm not sure, but I'm curious as to what the seller is talking about when they say the actual measurements are 16.5" by 7" and 7.5". I've asked a question on the auction, but was wondering if anyone here would be able to confirm :)

They're definitely MRS wheels. Seller's just confused about sizing.

New seller might be taking overall wheel measurements, which isn't all that helpful. How they got 16.5" though i'm not sure. I'm guessing rim diameters are measured to where the bead sits rather than very edge of wheel. So wheels might be 16"x6" and 6.5". Dunno :P

Cheers guys, now I just have to figure out whether or not it's a stupid idea to run staggered wheels on a front-wheel drive car

Just run same sized tyres if it bothers you.
