I would disagree to some extent. Any muppet can make a reasonably clean start and just hammer the power down. As long as you don't miss any gears your trap speed should be very similar.
I have run 14 second 1/4s with 110mph trap speed. Along with 12 second 1/4s with 110mph trap speed. Your tyres and track conditions mean sweet fanny adams once you are rolling.
