Heater Mixing and Auto climate Problem

Postby micah211 » Mon May 17, 2010 11:05 am

I have a 97 BZ Touring corolla and the heater does not mix. Its either cold or hot and nothing in between. Also the auto function on the blower does not work, it just blows at full. The blower is fine from low to high. Im sure itis a fairly simple part to replace but cant find any info on which part it is. Any idea's?

Most likely the cabin temp sensor is disconnected.
On corollas it is under the steering wheel, above clutch pedal, in the panel you will see a little window, behind that there is a sensor. Somebody disconnected it when they did something like alarm install or other work.

If that is not disconnected, possibly the front one (ambient temp. sensor) could be disconnected, but I am not sure if it will have same effect.
