brake disc upgrades

i need new discs for my evo 2 (i know its not a toyota)

i want to put slotted discs on both front and rear, mainly for the look as i know they dont make huge improvement

repco sells znoeli brand discs and i was just wondering peoples opinion of them, are they good/bad? or recommend something else?

Znoelli seem to do good rotors, the finish look good. Havent yet tried them on the track though.

im just after standard fitment discs and figured they're the simple way to go, just dont know anyone thats used them...

Yup, quite decent...from memory they're about $400 a pair, vs the $400 each of DBA

Yep, thats around what i paid for a pair of JZS147 298mm ones. Never went on a track, but never had a problem. They definately look the part and id buy another set

Coz that sounds like a pretty impressive price, and if the performance difference to DBA 4000 series is negligible, then it makes sense to go with the Znoelli's...

Do they have as big a range as DBA as well? As the two models I'm probably looking to get, one probably isn't particularly common in the aftermarket brake world...

Znoelli are good, friends ae85 brake up grade with them was wicked, they look awesome too,

Possibly larger, as they're an NZ company not Aussie. That said, their catalogue has a bunch of errors WRT various models, so who knows how many they actually have

A few of the guys from the Altezza club have had noise issues with the DDS Sports Disc Rotors (I think the look pretty ugly too)


If you were going to get some I'd probably run with the S12 Sports Disc Rotors as they're the best quality.


Personally I think the S6 Sports Disc Rotors look the best

Ive had standard rotors and dba slotted rotors on a race track (out door go kart track). There is absolutely no difference. Brakes still felt spongy after a few laps.
They look awesome though, would buy again.

slotted rotors tend to have a fraction more bite, if your PADS are up to the task

Pads + Fluid. Rotors alone will not make a big difference to how your brakes feel after a few laps.

This. Slotted rotors are to assist in degassing. If you don't have a good friction surface against them, and a good fluid, then theres no point.

slotted rotors are also deglaze your pads and I imagine are much better in wet conditions too.
