Got a quote from toyota today for $1400 for a set of new valves, but luckily I've got a whole head off trademe for a much more wallet friendly price.

Yeah I noticed that the seats are write offs and it looks like the material under them is also damaged, so that's another good reason to just get a new head, I'll move the valve springs out of the damaged head and into the new then get it ported and matched to the manifolds.

Then I'll try not to screw up the timing while installing the head this time :D

looks like the dings next to the valve seat would put the seat pocket out of shape too.
could you get the gze pistons flycut for non contact valve clearance or is your cam quite a bit bigger in lift?
do ferrera (sp) do valves for these?
