BTW, that same guy who failed you for your suspension failed the old mans Cefiro for rust on the subframe, told him that it had rusted from the inside out....turns it it was extreamly minor surface rust.

The other day the integra failed a wof because he couldn't get to the spare to check it under the sub box which is bolted down, just told him it doesn't have a spare. Not a loophole....its just being savvy about the thing.

Do you guys not have independent WOF garages? I go to Don McLean's up here, $29, friendly dudes and they have a lounge with couches and car mags for you to read while they do the WOF 8)

is it seriously that expensive to get WOF up north?
there are places with $25 wof, done by monkeys but still not bad,
and a place where you get a good coffee with your WOF for $36.

Yeah spare wheel is different to lights though. Ever had someone reversing at you without lights at night? 8O I reverse every morning so would be pretty gay without them. Each to their own though, not my car / problem. Do you actually have a wheel in there btw? Almost no point if you can't get it out

Yeah I don't know why reverse lights are not a WOF requirement!
Right up there with indicators imo.

I had only heard good things about don mclean. but i went there and got told i had a split steering rack boot and high stop tail light wasnt working.
I then bought the boots and went to replace it only to find they were in fact fine.
Took it back nothing said and they passed it. It was weird.

So a wee update.
I talked to the manager today. I basiclly got told to F### off.
He said if i have a problem with how they carry out their WOF checks, Then complain to the NZTA. He reckons his Person has carried out the check correctly and cannot take any fUrther action.

Well there you have it, complain to the NZTA, get them audited. They're just trying to blow you off cause you're young.
