do you need to get cert for aftermarket braided brake lines?
The four seasons in Australia consist of "$&#$% it's hot", "Can you believe how $&#$% hot it is?", "I won't be in today because it is too $&#$% hot" and "Yes, the dinner plate size spiders come inside to escape from the heat."

No.

So long as they are crimped or swaged fittings such that you can't take the brake line apart with spanners, then so long as they are in good condition you will get a WoF.

That was correct for a short duration a great many years ago.

That is no longer correct.

what about if your getting a car revinned or certed? do you need a tag to prove they comply with certain standards? or is it the same deal as with a wof?

You do not need standards on a brake line.

You did briefly some years ago.

That was some years ago, not now.

So unless you're Dr Who, you're pretty safe if you have brake lines that can not be dismantled (because they are crimped / swaged fittings).
