Doesnt always work.
It is not a faulty master switch,
they do not have a limit switch on the motor,
the have a damn crank angle sensor built into the motor.
The fault only occours when it has been apart.
If you get stuck here is what to do.
Pull the door apart and take the motor of the window regulator.
plug it all back together with the motor hanging out.
Switch on the ign switch and pull the matser switch up.
let the motor run on auto until it stops, ( some may take 60+ seconds)
Switch the ignition off and trip the door switch a couple of times to kill the window system.
Re-assemble the door and window and do not turn the ignition on until it is all fully assembled.
The problem usually occours when the ign is switched on with the master switch plugged in and the motor not.
Took a while to figure that out too. We have had quite a few in through work and never had that way not work, and that's for toyota's in general.
