Postby 20v4AGTE_Shanon » Sat Jul 24, 2010 12:34 pm

I am able to get hold of some 55occ factory FD3S RX7 primary injectors, Wondering if these will fit a 4age 20v blacktop... an if they dont is it possible to make them fit?[/img]

do you need injectors that big? 4 of them is enough fuel for 400Hp at the motor. what ECU do you have? if its something simple, driveability at low rpm wont be nice with injectors of that size

saying you have a link doesn't tell us squat. if its an early dinosaur, drivability will be crap. if its something pretty recent, it will be fine.

I thought we determined his is a V5? Its not that old, nor useless.

they didn't even have cold start did they? driveability was 'fine' compared to what? a cammy engine on twin side drafts with no choke on a cold morning???

You should be able to hit the key from cold and have it purr like a kitten and drive in city traffic with no issues

Nope, didnt have cold start but once it got up to temp it was fine. Drove in traffic quite happily, at part throttle, full throttle, whenever whereever. Agree it would have been nicer with cold start, and a later Link no doubt would have gotten it smoother and made more power, but as it was, it worked fine.

And no, my cammy twin dell'orto'd motor is much worse to drive at low speed ;)

i used to run rx7 injectors in my 16v on standard ecu, had cams and stuff done though, ran like ass down low (especialy in the cold) but used to get up and roar at high revs. for racing app it would be sweet but in a dailt driver is used to be a bit of a pain!

p.s - no cold start injector

Anyone know whats the largest sized injectors you can use on the standard FXGT/GTi fuel pump.
Ive got 440cc now but apparently they are maxed out at only 14psi of boost
