Boost Control options with Link G3

I'm looking at different options to setup the electronic boost control with the Link G3. At the moment I am using a Link EBC solenoid wired up to a low/high boost switch and dual boost tables. The switch is wired to the Digital Input and the solenoid itself is wired to an Aux channel that switches the solenoid on when the DI switch is flicked. First boost table has nothing in it and runs standard actuator boost (7psi), second boost table has data in it so it runs 12psi when activated.

My main requirement is to free up the Digital Input so I can use it for something else and just run high boost all the time.
Can this be done by switching the dual boost table off and putting the details which were in Boost Table 2 into Boost Table 1? Only thing I'm not sure on is how to get the solenoid to run constantly? If "Boost Control" is selected for the Aux channel that is connected to the solenoid will this turn it on automatically as soon as the ECU powers up??

I'm going to have a play around tomorrow and see what works anyway but thought I would ask here incase there is a better way.

And yes, I will save a copy of my base map before I mess with anything

A better way to have it is through a variable resistor on the dash.

I used a multi-position switch instead of a potentiometer, but it all does the same thing.


Set the Load Index to "Boost Adjust"
and set analogue volt 1 or 2 to to "Boost Adjust"
and dual table mode to "off"

Then just a 5K ohm pot with a 5V feed, and earth, and a signal to the AV channel.

Frees up the digital input and gives you adjustable boost contol.

Or a really simple way, put the switch inline with the boost solenoid so you can turn it off and run spring pressure.
