What times are the other celicas doing?, they race in a pretty tight class

Ive heard alot of these Australian cars can run 45 psi and run between 6.7-6.9 timesheets on the one motor as long as they don't exceed that 45 psi the stroked JZ motors seem to hold together.Thats 1 motor for a whole season which is very impressive.

I've heard Gas have run the stroked JZ's boost upto 61 psi but the motors seem to be on the ragged edge while running those boost numbers.They can run that boost which they need to run those mid 6s and under but are doing rebuilds after just about every other run.

The Rayglass guys are doing huge things considering the car they have is 7 years old and only ever did a 6.7 when in the hands of the Scranton Bros in the U.S so those Rayglass guys are overachieving bigtime considering the resources they have vs the Aussie teams.

Its very impressive, it sortof makes me wish Heat Treatments did run with the original idea of putting their GTR's donk in the 350Z and if nothing else set the fastest time for an RB powered drag car. They obviously get heaps of runs out of theirs too, and in testing yesterday they did 7.7 @ 187mph reaching a max of 38psi (ie, being gentle) in a >1300kg AWD which they are still trying to come to grips with the clutch setup of etc. I'm sure in a slippery light RWD tube chassis that trap speed would go up and the ET would REALLY drop, before the boost was wound up - I reckon mid/high 6s wouldn't be out of the question.

Yeah, I was blown away when they hit 6.6 then 6.5 - getting into the 6.4s is completely insane and they often don't show all their cards before the event they are testing for.

I spoke to Andre at STM last week he told me that Heat Treatments are'nt far away from rolling out there 350 Z and the GTR is going to be living in Aussie on a semi perminant basis.I think they must be at pretty close to the limit of that RB motor I reckon hence why in that 350 Z they have a 3.5 or 3.8 litre motor he also mentioned.

Shame that HTR didn't have their 350Z running while the Rayglass Celica was still on NZ soil. Would have been cool to see them race head to head here in NZ...

Yeah the 350z is goin to be one seriously quick car. I heard that their GTO is getting the twin turbo treatment?

Oh yeah of course, didn't say anything otherwise - it just seems like the little old RB could probably give some of the top 2JZ guys some work and beat anything else RB powered in the world. The VQ will probably bring things to a whole new level...

Not sure if anyone is interested, but Rayglass got down to 6.44 @ 221mph so far at Jamboree. The fastest Titan ever went was 6.42 @ 218mph....

They actually might win the event this year was this in testing or in the event proper as I'm sure if they can run this time they should go pretty close to winning the whole thing.

Great result though in the U.S Titan don't run over the 1/4 mile anymore abut apparently over a 1000 ft which is the distance they race over now the Titan Scion TC has done several runs under 4 second and I think that adds upto a low 6 or even a sub 6 sec. 1/4 mile run so it maybe interesting to see what the Titan car is now able to do if given the chance on a good track over a 1/4 mile.

Shame the GTR broke its Liberty trans, as that looked set to break a record too. RWD and AWD "sport compact" records held in little old NZ :D

3.9-4 in the 1/8th equates to around 6.3-6.45 area on the 1/4 so still close

Yea man its a shame there pretty much isnt a class for them anymore so they're racing with v8's etc over 1000ft. As you said would be very interesting to see what it does down the 1/4 these days.
