Dyno Day

Postby ch4ng » Thu Sep 30, 2010 9:50 pm

I'd like to gauge interest for a dyno day in Auckland
This comes about as
1 I think it'd be a bit of fun, and also it'd be a much needed Auckland meet. Aiming to hit two birds with one stone here!
2. I wanna get my car dyno'd to see what difference some trumpets make on my blacktop

I've spoken to Torque performance in Avondale and he will host club dyno days on most Saturdays with a minimum of 10 cars
$80 2wd
$100 4wd

Currently awaiting info from other venues

Let me know if you're keen guys!

Those are shitty prices.

Standard prices are $90-100 anyway

Dyno days are generally $50 and less.
If you don't get $50, dont do it.

That was just reading off their site
I'll have a chat to robin tomorrow and see if I can get anything better
Does anyone know of any place that will host?
So far Dodsons don't have any time available till next year
I'm awaiting replies from Auckland Performance Tuning and Hitec and as mentioned before I'll try get a better price from Torque performance.

hmm I'd throw the celica on there but without an engine it would be rather unimpressive.
for $50 tho I'd give it a go on a mountain bike. anybody know if a dyno is accurate to 0.001 hp?

or I could just bring my s14

The last advertised dyno day was the one Glen (ezy10s) ran back in May at Perfect Power. Was $50 for 2wd, $60 for 4wd. Might be worth seeing if he wants to do another one.

$90-100 sounds like everyday single car prices rather than a group deal.

Last $50 dyno took 6 weeks to get a hard copy of dyno sheet to find it did not include fuel ratio

Happy to pay $80 for Robins well known service with a nice complete dyno sheet

I saw your car out at STM yesterday.

When is he tuning it???

What legends drive down from Auckland drop the car off and turn around and drive back...Thats dedication.

I think NZHonda's had a Dyno day at STM I think they were charging $50 for a power run and $60 if you wanted allthe AFM's done and what not.
