Price check ST185

Postby blindnz » Wed Oct 06, 2010 11:30 am

Thinking about selling the ST185, was going to keep it and fix it up but i will be getting a job that will require re-locating a bit next year.

Pretty much its as i bought it Stock bar a BOV.

WOF and Reg. WOF till end of Jan

good things are that its straight and stock. 201kms on the clock have been told that the cambelt was done at 160km but im not to sure altenator belt looks pretty glazed. It is hot under the engine bay though.

Problems with it are as follows,
Paint - Clear Coat peeling but the body is straight.
Gearbox - Can be crunchy, but is fine to drive i have been driving it daily.
Engine - Rocker cover leak.
Muffler mount to close and knocks over bumps. (Idiots with big bores)

Pics as follows.

I was thinking around 2500 would be reasonable?

I say $2500-3k if it's as straight as you say it is.

yeah i was just wondering what people thought ball park, from the sounds of it 2000 should be ok, I got $1700 for a straight ae92 trueno that had $&#$% shocks and blew smoke at high revs. So i would hope $2000 to be an ok price. should be worth that pretty much in parts

$2k is fair, and you ought to move it reasonably quickly for that. Just be prepared to be offered $800, and swaps for TV's, xboxes etc
1988 KE70 Wagon - Slowly rusting
1990 NA6 MX-5 - because reasons
2018 Ranger - Because workcar
1997 FD3S RX-7 Type R - all brap, all the time
OMG so shiny!
