They'd have to be really picky. Some cars have exhausts that run the entire length of the door. Mine is right at the rear wheel and I'd have to do something really retarded to have my legs there (I've tried)
Getting it quiet is no drama. There's a lot more room to play with forward of the engine than there is under/behind it. The old ~1m 3" straight pipe it had was 9db over the limit. This one will be longer and have several bends as well as a good quality muffler in line. I'll be very surprised if it's over 99db.
