Yo, if you got a nice compact video camera, then bring it along cause I'll have a couple of my camera mounts to loan out during the day. Great chance to record your tracktime from inside or outside of your car, without having to invest in a sturdy camera mount.

I'll be bringing the camzilla suction mounts I sell:

These bad boys are a lot stronger than the cheaper $30 ones I used to sell, and they use a standard 1/4" tripod thread so will work with pretty much any camera. I've got adapters for go pro and tachyon cameras too. And just in case the unlikely happens and the mount comes loose, there will be safety tethers with each camera mount.

Righto...

Time for some serious stuff as we're a week away.

This Thursday in the Wellington area I will be having scrutineering. If you can make it (and your car needs checking and not just log book signing off) then make your way to my place (PM me for address - Airport area) around 7pm.
Please let me know if you are coming so I can get an idea of numbers.

Oh the day scrutineering will start at 8am and finish at 9am. Please note these times as there won't be any checks done outside this time unless you have an incident on the day and require rechecking.
We are going to be running to deadlines so working with the team on the day to make it happen... we wanna get as much time out on the track as possible.

Also... Helpers.
I need around 8 more helpers on the day. I will need these people for timing crew and flag marshals. The bonus of being a helper is you get feed lunch. :) (yes that is a bribe).
If you are racing and have a girl friend, boy friend, friend, slave, or anyone who is willing I'll take them! There will be a separate briefing for these teams.

If you have any question, have a helper or want to attend scrutineering please PM me.

Thanks a bunch
Chelles.

Another reminder for people, to compete your vehicle must have an approved, minimum 1kg fire extinguisher with a metal bracket bolted inside the vehicle in reach of the driver.
6mm bolts with locking nuts and panel washers is the minimum.

Well ive used nylocks on my car.
Schedule A says locking nuts which is pretty general really.

A nut that isnt going to come undone basically.
Also it needs to be bolted to something metal like dash frame or floor. NOT to plastic interior trims.
Also NOT in the glovebox.

Scrutineering.

It seems that no one is keen to take up the early scrutineering. So... this mean that we have one hour and 15 mins to check all 35(ish) cars on the day.

Scrutineering starts at 8am and finishes at 9.15am. Please be prompt and ensure that your car is ready to be checked along with your personal safety gear. If this runs late then the entire day will run late... Oh and a reminder too... for those of you who are racing please please do not get drunk the night before because if you are obviously hungover I won't be letting you race (this has happened before).

Thanks Chelles :)
