Got to say the track day was an excellent end to a fantastic weekend. Thanks to chelles and her bunch of volunteers that helped run the day, especially those that jumped in last minute to help out

Thanks again to team mod who got everything together for the mm. And thanks again for gifting me all the remaining prizes Sam :p

Photos to come during the week after I recover :)
Great to meet you all and hope you all got home safe.

That was rad! Thanks all for your enthusiasm and participation! Especially everyone who was still cranking at 5am on the Saturday night, really stoked all and sundry showed up and did the social thing.

To Sam and Brad, props for the excellent organisation, huge effort from all those who travelled extremely long distances to be here this weekend.

Dead keen to attend next year... who's keen for a Taupo mission????!!!!!

Top Weekend, Thanks!

The mighty 4afe corolla wagon was a barrel of fun on the track today!
I was using every bit of power and brakes it had! It probably needs a holiday from me driving it!

Hey - who won what awards?
I'm keen to see everyones lap times!
I will post all my video from the weekend later this week!
iPod nano video was much better than I ever hoped... Karts, track ( poor thing tied to the front of my grill for most of the day!

Ken
I used to think that the orange and green tictacs gave you special powers. The orange ones would make you stronger and the green ones would make you faster. So i used to eat some green ones and run around my lounge as fast as i could, then eat the orange ones and try to pick up the sofa. I wish it were true!

we got home just after 9 last night (after stopping in Wanganui for a feed)
then dropped the MR2 back at Garnetts in NP and got home again at around 10.
by the time I got my shiz sorted for work etc bed was around 11, definitely didnt want to get up this morning at 630 :(

bonus is im about to go helicoptering (for real this time) for work, so glad I didnt have an MDO today.

PS Graham decided he NEEDED to wear his race suit the whole way home, including the lovely sit down meal at Maccas - hes trying to be the new red Stig I think....

I'll sus out some photos on photobucket when I get a chance (I think Ngaere already facebooked some, but in saying that shes on there non stop)
Team Santa's cartwheel photo was surely the best!

was a great weekend thanks to all organizers and participants.

the ke handled the weekend well but iv now got motivation to get the coupe finished and ready for MM2011 and actually be (a bit more) competitive.

all tho i cant complain i still won a prize (slowest lap) to ad to its achievements. (lowest power at sdu dyno day)

the old man had a great time to and was impressed with everybody's attitudes, and can see what i want to do with the coupe now and why.

so again thanks to anyone who put the effort in, not just sam chells brad E.C.T. (altho you deserve it the most) but also anyone who pushed to get there cars ready or made time just to have it break or push to come to the event even if it meant sleeping in the back seat/boot or driving from inveRcargill.

Massive photo barrage coming up this evening! Got at least one shot of every single trackday entrant, including some sportydramatic ones shot at like 1/20 that make it look like everyones doing 200kmh through the hairpin. Not to mention the cruise shots too!

Fixed

Also disappointed you guys didnt come along to the BBQ tonight, was keen to interrogate/talk shit about your 86

LOL talkin shit is all that stalker does on his 86

And now you've all discovered the equation that lead to Emz nickname
Emz + Vodka = "Flannel mess"

Cheers for an oarsum weekend everybody, I was a little doubtful as to how many people would show up but it turned out to be a fantastic event.
Can't wait to do it all again

It was a memorable time. One that I'm glad I managed to make! Having a 4 month unpaid holiday hit the pocket hard so limited what I could do. Didn't stop me from doing the super slippery ninja move and stole Santas spot in the karting. If I knew, i wouldnt have done it.... but i did

A nice view from the timing tower and an insight to just how hard it is to get times for cars! Standing starts gave some people what they wanted (they couldn't drift but they could power skid off the line) and to others another challenge to tackle.

Yet the best and long term effect of this weekend is a nickname given by someone and Santa overheard. Login time showed up Santas revenge for a new login name of Flannelman!

Funds are being put aside from now, cannot miss another one of these!

P.S, Im not getting rid of that jacket...
