Hey man, I've passed this on to a dude who I know was also made redundant when Provenco (/Cadmus) went under last year - I'm not 100% sure what his current position is at the moment... haven't spoken to him for a while but he may be looking.

Cheers :)

Passed on to my little brother. He's not experienced in the workplace but has had a multitude of private experience and is currently studying extramurally. He should be in contact via email today or tomorrow... He's super keen to get his foot in the door too.

Dammit. Why is there such a shortage of them at the mo. I am also looking for a person to do partime support work.

Excellent ppl skills and not a computer geek is prefered. Basically someone who can i can leave alone and they can get on with it. Asking too much??? LOL

Probably because the ones with the most skills are self employed.

Realistically, modern hardware is cheap and crap. The capacitors are low grade and are supposed to leak & kill the board, that way you buy a new one.
I used to fix power supplies for the likes of routers & hubs but it's cheaper to buy a new one.

I guess it depends on teh skill level and how you relate to clients and if you have the ability to generate business. $15 probably a bit on the low side for 9 months worth, but is probably a fair starting point for a junior tech straight out of tech.

Anyway still looking for someone, cos Brad probably pinched all the others around town. LOL.
