Hello

I coming down for a bit of a holiday and would like some recommendations of some nice pubs/clubs to go to.

1. Walk to Courtenay Place
2. Walk part way down Courtenay place
3. Stop, look to your left.

I prefer old style pubs with live bands, don't mind dance clubs etc.. as long as they are not full of 18 year olds

Plenty along Courtenay and Cuba St. Just go for a stroll and see what takes your fancy you will definitely find something you like

Your not going to find the sorta places your after on courtney place unless yougo to the Irish Bars. Kitty Osheas, Molly Malones etc as they have live bands

Im a Chef at St Johns Hieneken Hotel on the waterfront and Macs Brewery beside us could be what your after ;)

bristol on cuba, kiwi pub on allen/blair st can't remember, molly malones, kitty o sheas or southern cross is always good if you don;t mind the walk

Mermaids...

only place we could find that played decent music... oh and theres chicks getting naked and putting on a show.

Green Man on Willis St (I think) seemed nice when I was there the other week. Had a good band on, super friendly nice staff, and they did a pizza that had enough jalapeno on it to make me sweat.
