Lol what was he thinking putting an auto up on $1 reserve. Interesting choice with the GT3788R, if I read the auction right its using stock ECU and fuel system?? Pretty keen of him.

How binding is a trademe auction. If he trys to pull out of it, is there anything the winning bidder can do other than offer bad feedback?

in theory its legally binding, anecdotal evidence is the police dont want to know about it. im sure you could take someone to small claims or something if you really wanted.

Probably because it has nothing to do with the Police, it's a civil matter.

Not if they ignore the sale of the item at auction/falsify it, which is what happens many many times on trademe. How often have you been following a 1$/no reserve auction that, after it closes, a fixed price offer comes through at a higher price (with cars, close to what you would expect to pay). All it takes is you having a second account/friends account to drive the price up and if it doesn't get there, you just win the auction and do fixed price offer under the guise of 'sale fell through'.

Equally annoying about shill bidding - 1$/no reserve auction closes at $x, fixed price offer comes through at exactly the amount of the last bidder before...

Isn't this truth? General consensus reckons TP dyno reads 5-10 HP lower than most other dynos..

Or have I just completely noobed myself?

They used to read slightly higher but not sure about now. May have changed since they've moved building?

Hard to say. STHitec customers say that about STHitecs dyno (to the point that one offered to pay for me to run my car on that dyno to prove my car would make 220-230kw @ wheels there), Speed Source customers say Kent's dyno reads lower than everyone elses, Torque Performance customers apparently say the same about theirs apparently etc etc.

Hardly anyone is going to say the power figure they are advertising is using smaller horses than everyone elses ;) The dynos I am convinced are significantly lower reading than everyone elses are MacLennan's in Wellington and Pulse' in Wanganui.
