Postby hsmidy » Sat Feb 12, 2011 8:24 pm

First ive heard of it, but never mind as it turns out the set of wheels that i was keen on only come out in 4x100.... no good for my celica

But why buy the real rims when for next to nothing can get copies of unknown quality?

Emperor, your idea makes no sense

no but why buy banged up and curbed ssr's when you can get a set of new (although only lookalikes) for 1200 and have them widened 2 inches

There was a guy who had some limited sets, but he was not bringing them in, he was on trademe,

As far as I know there is no one in nz importing such wheels.

Genuine 3 piece? If not then you can't get them legally widened anyway.

not to mention the lack of quality over the genuine items...

I used a set of Rota GT3 rims and they were really nice. Had them on the car for nearly 2 years track use only. Sold them off as needed something to clear my new brakes. Got some new Rota Circuit 10s now.

Quality wasnt really an issue at all with them. Even had a massive rock get jammed behind the caliper and spoke of the mag. Nothing wrong with the mag at all!, bent lug mounts on the HUB!! Just a graze behind one of the spokes.

I actually haven't heard of anyone breaking a Rota, that pic was on an American car forum, the guy actually ran into a MASSIVE pot hole and then the story just got exaggerated.
