Drain clearing?

Postby FST4RD » Thu Apr 28, 2011 4:11 pm

Anyone here a drain clearer?
Anyone know a drain clearer that can come sooner rather then later?
The ones that I have rung have said they can't come for about 2 weeks...

I'm surprised it's only 2 weeks :?

Could give these guys a call http://www.canterburydrainage.co.nz/ I got them to do my drains years ago. Got a blockage a few months back and the owner was really helpful over the phone explaining what it most likely is causing the problem etc. Mine ended up unblocking itself a few hours before they called me up to see about looking at it. Phew!

Worth a shot, but I daresay you'll be best to get booked in as I doubt the queue will get any shorter.

get a cheap drain bung and fill drill drain with water, then nail it with compressed air, just pray the bockage is not on your neighbours property as it can get messy

Problem is that we're in Avonside and had more liquefaction on our property then most whole suburbs. I cleared as much silt from the pipe that my arm could reach but it's packed in there really tight and probably right out on to the road. Probably better if they suck it out rather then try and blow it out.
