Hey Ree, That is what I was getting at. McLaren worked it out to with Hamilton. After Malaysia they worked out same thing would happen again with Hamilton at China, his tyres would go toward the end, but if he was faster then could make up the difference and be on good rubber at the end of the race, Weber proved it is possible from 18th to get to a podium on an engine that doesn't have the power of the Mercedes on a track where power is an advantage. Hamilton has shown the way buy only running once in Q3.
Ferrari and Mercedes have cars designed for race pace with both sets of tyres which is why they aren't quite there. Gonna be a long year for those 2 teams.

Indeed, but it was really nice to see the Mercedes finally start to get the cars set up a little closer to where they need it to be.

My only hope is that they are still quite far away from their ideal set up, and as such, still have 1.5sec per lap locked in there somewhere hehe.

Luckily I have the last 12 seasons at my beck and call to get me through the gaps and off season (which will be far shorter over the next few years)

Im trying to afford to buy more full seasons but currently would be keen to swap seasons with others to view

Rain is forecast for today and sunday, but quali looks like it will be run in the dry so it should make it a very intetresting build up

Turn 8 + rain on a track thats surface has never seen rain before =

The DRS zones look well thought out as its relatively easy to get in the slipstream of the front car on this track anyway so moving the activation zone further down the back straight is a good idea.

I wonder if Vettel will leave a bit more room this time if he finds himself in the same position as last year??

Fingers crossed for another performance jump from Mercedes, and another race with Massa putting the sulking spaniard in his place.

God the BBC team ahopeless on Friday and Saturday practice. Imagine if they actually looked at their monitors to get information

Yeah weather appears to be drying out more than expected doesnt it?

Its just like Interlagos, it doesnt have to be raining too heavily for rivers to run across the track in the worst places.

Its amazing that with spending > $200 Million on building a track, that the stuctural engineers cant design it to have run off in the right direction, and adequate drainage systems in place...

Not to mention the rollercoaster at turn 12!!! The poor Mclaren drivers will have very sore cocyx' after the weekend as they appear to have the worst chassis for soaking up the bumps. The Ferrari looked almost calm through the bumps in comparrison on the slow mo replays.

My fingers are well and truly crossed that Mercedes can carry on their friday form into quali and the race, Go Michael!!

I don't get why RBR can't get there KERS to work more reliabily.

I see Ferrari are still battling away I think if they don't pull finger DeMontomozemlo will be going through that team with the broom next year and I really think some of these guys will be out of there.

Mind you I'm still Pi$$ed they sabotaged Raikkonen's campaign in 08 with giving him unreliable cars.
