Jamie, after many many enquiry's you finally sound the sort of person who wants this car because of the parts on it and its condition and can appreciate it for what it is! Thank goodness! No one else could give a stuff about the parts so it doesn't appeal and they can't appreciate it or its value. I'm glad you emailed me as I was about to smash my head brick wall trying to deal with the amount of clowns out there who either think $0 or near offer means free or that it's stock standard. It's far from Standard but everything is factory fitted after Toyota at TRD. This is like a STI version one wrx where they striped a stock one down including the motor and filled it with good stuff. It's 22 years old so what is inside the motor and gearbox isn't known but you don't rebuild brand new engines and gearboxes for no reason so don't make and offer based on that, just count it as a bonus, also factor in repainting the bumper and eyelids $500 should be plenty to fix anything you aren't happy with as it is an old car and although really really mint it is not quite showroom new so i want you to be happy with it.
Here's the list. I look forward to hearing from you.
Kindest regards
TIm
ENGINE & GEAR BOX
ENGINE
Full in house prepped TRD engine, specs are unknown because I havent thought of cool names to make up yet, the block/bottom end received most the attention. I sprayed heaps of degreaser on it
*Stock Lightened flywheel, half dead Exedy heavy duty clutch, and pressure plate kit
GEAR BOX
Same story in house prepped, specs are standard other than the obvious presence of a standard half worn LSD that used to be very vicious, gears give off that nice sound you would expect from worn bearings .
Others
*Cut down stock shifter kit (50% reduced thread )
*Magoos Muffler Exhaust system with twin tips
*flogged out factory S/C Bypass valve
*Painted S/C Pulley kit
Pod filter in boot is bolt on aftermarket set up, from SCA.
The Ecu has had a recalibration of the fuel injection and parameters but it is unknown to what extent but it runs beautifully like a stock ECU should!, testament to its clean running just look inside the exhaust tips! This sounds really convincing doesnt it?
SUPENSION & CHASSIS:
*KYB – WORN OUT 4 WAY ADJUSTABLE SHOCKS
1 (jelly luxobarge spec) up to 4 (nearly firm)
*TRD UPRATED/CUT SPRINGS
(For looks, you can still buy TRD lowering ones however)
*TRD FRONT SWAY BAR AND BUSH KIT
*TRD REAR SWAY BAR AND BUSH KIT
(These kits also have special linkages that mount them to the shocks bodies like the factory ones, but painted)
*TRD HARDENED RUBBER BUSHING KIT THROUGHOUT
(30% Stiffer than stock bushes, suitable for fast road use and won’t crack the chassis like other materials used in non TRD aftermarket kits. Of course 20 years down the track these are perished to hell, but it sounds cool right!)
*TRD ENGINE AND GEARBOX MOUNTS
(Again around 30% stiffer and far stronger when new and unflogged)
Steering rack unconfirmed, may be quick rack, need to compare next to another but is far more positive than previous Aw11s I had. Could be entirely dreaming here
BODY
*TRD purple smoked rear window monsoon with TRD decals and matching red graphics to match body colour - actually genuine!
*The Front lip is either a TRD 1 off or limited production run or another Japanese company it cannot be confirmed whose. But actually Aerotech. The front lip was changed in Japan. The reason for this was the car was lifting too much at high speeds so this was made/used to try fix it.
TRD parts worn out or removed for compliance
*TRD braided brake lines (still avail from TRD)
*TRD brake pads (stock pads now sit in the car) (still avail from TRD)
*TRD air filter (still avail from TRD) (box has a K&N now but currently Pod filter kit is fitted for that in cabin S/C sound… amazing!!)
* None of these parts are even in my possession anymore, but they used to be on the car, that still adds value!
Wheels
The car is also fitted with Nearly new 15x8 +25 OG Work replica wheels with 195/45R15 tires all done less than 1000kms that finish the look of nicely and keep everything period style.
Me, cynical? Neverrrrrrrrrrrrrr
