best place to get replacement ae92 engine mounts?

Postby gmacrae » Thu May 19, 2011 12:25 pm

Hey hey, wondering where the best place is to get new engine mounts for my ae92. I'm probably after all four, preferably solid rubber or urethane ones if they're available

Cheers

Do you still have the original mounts without the rubber?

When Rev was working for Autolign he sorted me out with getting them urethaned, depends on your location but other suspension specialists would probably do it as well.

If you need some factory mounts I may have some kicking around.

Plus Plastics burns out the rubber in you old ones and fills them with Urethane for around $50 each. Used them for years now, great service and great price.

http://www.plusplastics.com/

Thats the one. Been using them for 5 years now, all my mates use them and all the race cars my dad builds uses them as well.

They can make RWD mounts where they actually have to make a mold, those are a little more expensive at $70 each. Still better than Autolign!

i've always found Autolign to be expensive for anything....

Sika do a polyurethane sealant which is good for filling old mounts. I think it's 521, a $30 tube should do all four.
