Suggestions on change of suspension, brake disk

My tyre got punctured today by a bolt....wtf....so I took the car to Tyres2Go in chch and did a test after the tyres are changed. This is the result

I know that my disk needs changing soon, this could also be responsible for the rolling resistance, but could there be any other reasons for the problem?

What can I do to fix ovality? New rims??

And it says my rear suspension only have %50+ left and needs to be replaced very soon. What does this involve?

Btw the guy in the shop told me that the strud in my BZR is just a normal strud, common in any other cars.....although im pretty sure its a superstrud tho.....anyway I can confirm this myself?

Does it have a sticker saying superstrut suspension? Does it has a funny looking strut with a long leg coming off it or does the hub bolt directly to the strut?
Ovality is likely just tyres out of balance, I take it thats from one of the drive on type testers?

nope doesn't have stickers. Oh yea I should go look for that long funny looking leg haha. Will check tmr. And yea its one of those "roller in the ground" machine test

No, the brake disk doesn't need changing soon and it is not responsible.
A dragging caliper, piston and/or slide, or under inflated tire is it, the bearing is very unlikely. Also the toe-in is way off and IMO is the biggest cause, after stuck brake/s & low pressure.

Dude that looks seriously bad and really unsafe.

You're going to need a complete overhaul with slotted rotors, bigger brake callipers, new pads, height adjustable suspension and some new 18"s to fix the ovality.

At least that's what I'd be telling your wife / partner

@allencer, sorry I wasn't clear on the disks. I've got them checked at magoos a while ago and the measurements came out under. I was also told that the disks might have sheered therefore causing rolling resistance.

I've also had my alignment done about 3 or 4 months ago I think. Do they go off that fast?? Or could they have given me a false measurement to have me done the alignment with them?

and yes I feel the same way towards to bias....strongly...

also I've got a seemingly stupid question here....Does BZR's come with all round superstruts? Or just front superstruts with normal rear suspensions?

Superstrut is front only. Always macpherson strut in the rear. And allignment doesnt usually go out that fast, unless you have done something to put it out ie hit a big pothole etc

that looks like a printout to generate BS/revenue by telling you a whole heap of shit that doesn't mean anything and they will say "we will fix it for you it will cost $$$"


tbh go to a tyre/alignment shop you can trust and who you know are GC's. they will tell you if you need to change anything and will be trying to help you rather than just make money from you.

none of that info means shit in the real world except possibly the toe info. but a tape measure/looking at it by eye would also tell you that. brakes are easy to fix - new pads and fluid, good bleed etc. 1-2 hours work.

Try places such as Midas where they do free brake checks. If there is an issue they'll let you know. Certainly more than the typical tyre and other repair shop where they'll tell you there are issues for the sake of revenue.

yeah, places offering free checks are doing it to generate revenue too.

find a place or person you trust, and take their advice is all i can say. if you post up what area you are in, someone is bound to have a recommendation.
