4puk clutch in a 6 speed bzr gearbox?

Postby KIPH8N » Tue Aug 09, 2011 10:11 pm

I have just got my 6 speed trueno bzr but the clutch is slipping.
I have a excedy 4puk clutch off a bzg wanting to put in the bzr 6speed gearbox.

People say the 6 speed gearbox's are pretty weak. Just wanting to know if anyone has done this?

Would it be harsh on the gearbox?

Thanks.

I'd just replace it with a full face kevlar.

Keep the clutch as the weakest link.

take it to neil at autoclutch, he will rebuild it using existing parts to keep costs down, he will also advise on the best solution for your car which id say is heavy cover and standard plate.

As above, overkill, leave your clutch as the weakest link. And yes the 6 speeds are overly strong

Never heard of a 6spd gearbox blowing up. The different on the other hand....
Just fit a stock clutch. Unless you race it. Stock is cheap and does the job.
