Its the radiator been discoloured (plastic tanks), seen it many times on ST185s. Probably about time to be replaced.

Oh and btw, that car looks mighty familiar? Oh yeah!

Nah look at where the top tank is crimped to the core...definite rusty coolant marks

Meh - I'm off to the garage. Super pro bushes came in for the rear trailing arms and i'm off to play. That and I need to install fuel tank (proper term? ) and reassemble rear subframe.

Cool, that's a completely incorrect use of the word "hub" so I'll stick with not using your definition :P

The flat face on the hub with the studs in it is a flange, but the whole piece is a hub. What do you call it on the non-driven end of the car? A coast flange?

it all depends on the car.

ie: fwd corollas in the rear have a sealed "hub" which contains the wheel bearings and bolts to the hub carrier with 4 bolts.

in a Supra or rx7, the front "hub flange" which carries the wheel bearings is held to the hub carrier by a large nut.

for the past 10 years i've worked supplying parts to workshops and garages, and these are the accepted terms used in the trade.
