to my Knowledge you'll need the 5spd mounts for a ae series and I think the shalfs are the same as the c56 5spd(black top box). Whats up with your 6??

Toyodiy doesn't list separate parts for 5 spd & 6 spd so chances are high they are the same

will be sweet. passenger side top mount is a little bit different but should work fine.

also may need to look at ecu as 6 speed ecu pulls a bit of timing on gear change to shelter the weaker 6 speed box.

Im pretty sure the mounts are the same, not sure about shafts however.
I would recommend getting a c56 (preferb c56-04c (LSD)) going from a c160 to a c52 will be very disopointing.

Front and rear mounts will be fine. As touge_trueno said the one on the top of the box going onto the chassis rail requires work.

The 5speed chassis rail has the mount bracket welded to it, the 6speed chassis rail has the mount bolt to it

Hopefully that makes sense.

This is the bit the facelift are missing on the chassis rail:

Sorry to drag up an old post
But my mates ae111 bz caribs 6 speed is getting really tired. Only thing is that 6 speeds seem to be quite rare and worth moonbeams, and with a mortgage and 2nd kid on the way he won't be able to stretch to buying another one.
Have lined up a super cheap 5 speed from a ae92 with warranty etc.
So from what I've read the mounts will be fine. Are the shafts definitely going to be fine? Linkages?
Someone mentioned the ecu? Is this a must have? Will a ecu from any other bt 5 speed fit us and work fine?

Sorry about all the questions, he's just got to budget best he can.

Ah well that might help. I'll get him to do the 1 wheel on grass, 1 on seal to confirm. He thinks it does.

This might not work with torsen (if grass is too slippery).
Best way to test a torsen is full throttle in the corner in the wet; if inner wheel is spinning then no torsen, otherwise it should pull neatly around the corner (or under-steer badly).
