Does Racepro Still Exist?

Postby Garreth27 » Thu Sep 15, 2011 4:13 pm

Been trying to get something through racepro as I see their website is still up, but my emails are just going unanswered. See they list on trademe but again my questions just seem to go unanswered as well

This is why people buy online IMO. Not just the price.

Service in general in NZ is utter shit.

Yes, a recent trip to OZ really highlighted that for me

What are you after? Repco might still have a few Racepro bits floating around.

Service in general in NZ is utter shit.

I don't agree at all. Unfortunately a lot of places pay minimum wage or there abouts so you're bound to get a few muppets. There are plenty of useful people in sales/customer service though.

Im after a racepro front kit for my starlet. Yet to find a place that has any. Atomic or toms front will do as well but no luck so far.

Mine took quite a while to turn up as i bought it when they had the blizzard in december/january and the couriers werent able to pick it up. Think it took about a month. Shouldn't take too long now.

Idrees' wrapping skills are a little excesssive, it took me ~10 mins with a craft knife to get the bumper out of the packaging.

incl shipping it works out to about $520 which is still cheaper than racepro. I'll give them a ring in the UK tomorrow and discuss it with them

Finally got a hold of the manager at Racepro but the part i want they can't do since their mould was damaged. Oh well, I'll just get it from the UK. Maybe ring them up when i get the kit from the UK and offer to loan it to them to make a mould for a small fee or a discount on some other parts :D

My bet is you'd never get it back if it takes that much effort just to contact them

Good call, never thought about that.

Thanks, will check up with aerotech. Anyone dealt with them that can comment on their product quality? Dont wan't a shitty made kit.

Last kit I got through www.bodykit.co.nz and it was awesome. So light yet so strong, best kit I've ever had, even had a dumbell dropped on it and just pt a hairline crack on it.

Mate had a full ae111 kit done by them, quality seemed all good. Talking 5-6 years ago now, but i'm sure they would still be at least that good.
