NZ Time Attack Series - Round 2 - Taupo - Dec 16 & 17

Postby coleman » Thu Dec 01, 2011 12:03 am

Hey Team

Coleman here from D1NZ,

I am the new Category Manager for the NZ Time Attack Series that we are running in conjunction with the D1NZ National Drifting Championship this Season.

We have 2 Rounds remaining Taupo & Hampton Downs (as Pukekohe was on last weekend - Sorry for those that missed out)

Its planned to be only 3-4 quick fire sessions each day, So the idea is to bring your A Game to the Table, rather than lots of testing throughout the day which can be executed down at track days, we are aiming for a development year of 3 rounds then to go to a full series next season so this year is about getting the series some good PR and running some tight competition.

I thought I'd just plant the seed and see if I can grasp your interest, the dates are:

Round 2 (D1NZ Round 3)
December 16 & 17 2011
Taupo Motorsport Park

Round 3 (D1NZ Round 6)
Grand Final
April 5 & 6 2012
Hampton Downs

So if this sounds like you, Please send through your email details & I can get all the appropriate forms sent through
Feel free to email through any questions you may have.

Regards

Coleman

Thanks for posting up this info :)

I would really love to get involved in thie series, but it seems that unless you can afford to buy multiple sets of wheels and semi slicks, there isnt a chance in hell of being competitive. As with all types of motorsport, it has become unaffordable to the average NZ'er who doesnt have sponsors etc

Do you have a link to all of the rules and regualtions for this series please pal?

Pretty much agree mate.

Just getting your car prepped for a track-day is expensive let alone entering in a series. Its pretty much why the private track-day or Dual car Sprint Intermarque format is about my lot.

Hey,

If you like I can email through the regulations etc.

We had names like Hans Ruiterman , Harry Dodson & Kat Benson in the Pro Am class, so it may suit.

Just post your email or get me on coleman@d1nz.com

Cheers

Hey,

Looking at any South Island round next season?

I would be keen to see the regulations etc as this year I am running in the MSNZ Production GT series,
but have always been keen to do one of the Time Attack type events,
but they always clashed with race dates of the series I ran in down here.

Next year I may look at just doing a couple of events here and there rather than a whole season of one series.

Send some info to rachmat@xtra.co.nz.
