Who makes a deeper 30mm socket to undo Hub/CV nuts?

As per title, (I think they are 30mm?) looking for someone who makes a deeper socket so I can get some hub nuts off - using a 1/2" breaker bar.

Some seem to come off fine but other the threaded spindle sticks out too far.

Or do I need to go to 3/4" gear?

I use kingtony deep 30mm 1/2" socket without any problem for that task.

got mine from toolshed i think. its just a powerbuilt socket must be relatively common. pretty pricey though IIRC mine was ~$50. invaluable when dismantling cars though so prob worth it.

Put your welder to good use and make something chop a crappy old standard one in half and add extension legs or something haha.

I got this set a couple years back, suits most, but nothing that quite fits 30mm.

I extended a 30 and 32mm socket as BZG|Bling suggests, they do the job fine

Koken also do one. Only gets used every couple of years but is vital when needed.

super cheap calibre range - $11 or similiar pricing. I ended up buying the 30 and 32mm.

note that late model toyotas (year 2000 above) need a 12 point 30mm socket.

Most tool manufacturers will make them. Cheap ones will break eventually. Buy impact ones, regardless of if you're using them on air tools or not

of course cheap ones will break, but for that odd job, the calibre is fine. Otherwise I use my Ampro or impact sockets, but at the time, I needed a cheap fix
